- Mini — up to 9 — 4–9 years old
- Children — 9–11 years old

Levels
Recreational · Pre-competitive — No classic recreational / pre-competitive split: VIBE distinguishes Semi-Professional (training 3 times a week or less) from Professional (4 or more). The split does not apply to Minis.
Variations
- Repertoire — “Classical Ballet” category — choreography from the classical repertoire (Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Giselle…) · 4–25 years old
- Free — Neoclassical (classical technique outside the repertoire), contemporary, character, open category · 4–25 years old
Six styles: Classical Ballet (repertoire), Neoclassical, Contemporary, Character/National, Open (jazz, hip-hop…), and Dance Special / Para Dance. Solos and duos capped at 2 min 30, groups at 3 min 45. Pointe shoes are not mandatory — the choreography must suit the dancer's age. Solos and duos judged together; groups and ensembles separately.
Masterclasses. “A major part” of the event, taught by the jury members at MUK: €18 per class, payable on site.
Jury. Jury 2027 not announced yet. In previous years it was published by name — state-school directors (Vienna State Opera academy, Royal Swedish Ballet School, Riga, Hungarian National Ballet, Zurich, Palucca Dresden…).
What you can win. Future Talent €500, Junior / Special / Senior “Outstanding Performance” Grand Prix of €1,000 each, plus training scholarships and courses with the visiting directors.
Worth knowing. The first competition open to dancers with and without disabilities (Para Dance category; non-competing partners take part free of charge). Marked out of 60 with artistry (40) worth double technique (20). Note: no individual feedback — VIBE hands out neither scores nor jury sheets. Also doubles as the Austrian Championship (APAD) for Austrian entrants.
