- Allievi — 10–13 years old
- Juniores — 14–16 years old

Levels
All levels — No recreational / pre-competitive split: age categories only (Allievi, Juniores, Seniores), in classical and modern/contemporary sections. Allievi dance the final only; Juniores and Seniores go through a semi-final then the final.
Variations
- Free — Allievi classical: free or repertoire variation, pointe optional · 10–13 years old
- Free — Modern/contemporary section: free variation at any age · 10–30 years old
- Repertoire — Classical: optional for Allievi; compulsory and on pointe from Juniores (14) · 10–30 years old
Soloists max 2 min 30; pas de deux/duos (from 14, single category) max 3 min — except repertoire pas de deux, danced at its original length; choreographic compositions (B up to 14, A from 15, minimum 3 dancers, age = group average) max 4 min 30. White stage light throughout, stage costume required at every phase.
Masterclasses. Taught by the jurors during the event, “strongly recommended” for a fuller evaluation: €40 for the first two, €30 from the third (€50 for non-competitors). Intermediate and advanced levels, classical and contemporary.
Jury. The “Renowned Jury” page lists some thirty figures who have sat on the PID jury: Luca Masala (Princess Grace Academy, Monte-Carlo), Ernst Meisner (Dutch National Ballet Junior Company), Richard Wherlock (Ballett Theater Basel), Katrin Hall (Gothenburg), Juliana Sabino Wilhelm (Palucca Dresden), Daria Klimentová… The exact 2027 jury has not been detailed yet.
What you can win. First prizes: €200 (Juniores), €300 (Seniores and pas de deux), €300 (composition B) and €800 (composition A); Allievi: dancewear and diploma. On top, the “Premi al Merito”: contracts, professional traineeships and scholarships from the partners, awarded at the jury's discretion.
Worth knowing. Well established on the Italian circuit and now well documented (2027 rulebook published). Plan ahead: the Italian “agonistico” medical certificate is required at registration, the final gala is compulsory for podium winners, and the Allievi → Juniores step is a real jump — from 14, classical repertoire on pointe is compulsory.
